I initially decided not to get the Urban Decay Naked Palette as I was pretty sure I could dupe it with Mac ones... but you know how it goes.. I caved!
I can't get enough of neutral colors!
Thank you gorgeous and sweet Valerie who got me this palette!! ♥ Be sure to check out her great blog too!I'm not going to do a full review on this as there are hundreds out there already. - Same goes with swatches.
(Visit Temptalia to read a full review and see amazing pictures of the eyeshadows.)
What I can do is sum it up by saying the
Urban Decay eyeshadows are amazing! This palette is all you've heard -and then some! ;)
I haven't owned any UD e/s previous to this palette so I was so pleasantly surprised! They are equally as pigmentet - if not more, than Mac ones, and the colors are gorgeous!
The one problem with this palette is deciding what color to choose. You are going to want to apply them all! At once, preferably!Lots of makeup gurus on You Tube and beauty bloggers are doing amazing looks and tutorials using the Naked Palette, so that's why I wanted to see if I could dupe the palette with Mac eyeshadows. If you don't want to spend the money to get this, but have a bunch of Mac ones around - here is how you can dupe the palette and
join the fun! ♥
First, some Eye candy:

Here is what I came up with when trying to dupe the colors:
(Note: I don't own every Mac eyeshadow out there, so this is duping the palette based on the ones I own.. which is a lot!)

(Click on the pictures for super size!)
From left:
Virgin: Shroom. Virgin is an even more fine milled es. but this is a good dupe
Sin: Naked Lunch or Jest. Sin is actually slightly more beige, but it will give the same effect/color on the eyes
Naked: Kid
Sidecar: This one is really difficult to dupe. Mac doesn't have this color in their range, so the closest I came to dupe this with is Style Snob (a lighter version of Satin Taupe). Style Snob was a LE (Limited edition), but can be found on Ebay.
Buck: Cork
Half Baked: Woodwinked
Smog: Closest I found to this was Tempting. Smog is more brown while Tempting has got a bit more golden brown tones to it.
Darkhorse: Another eyeshadow Mac can't dupe. The closest I found was Magnetic Fields (also limited edition). Darkhorse is a lot more pigmented and a richer brown color than Magnetic Fileds, but you will get the same dark chocolate color with both.
Toasted: Sable
Hustle: Twinks or Smut
Creep: Black Tied or Carbon (except Carbon is a true matte).
Gunmetal: Knight Divine or any dark grey/silver. Mac have several LE that resembles this (Pandamonium, Waft)
Let me know if you have managed to dupe Sidecar and Dark Horse better than I have! They are amazing neutral browns and I would love for Mac to have that in their permanent collection!
