A little H&M haul

The other day I had 30 minutes to find a couple of cute tops that I can wear to work and for casual wear, so I ran to H&M. I know I can always find something nice and cheap there without having to look too long and without having to try it on.
If we'd have Zara in this town, or J.Crew I would definitely be there instead, but this town is small and they don't have that... [insert bitter face here].

All though I'm trying to build my wardrobe with more quality pieces, I will always have some H&M clothes just because they do make some really cute tops and dresses especially, that will last you for years.

So here's 30 minutes worth of shopping:

I love the cute ruffles on the tops! This is so cute with work pants, high heels and a blazer/cardigan or just skinny jeans for casual wear.

I fell in love with the short sleeve cardigan purely because of the black trimming and little bows. Great way to make an otherwise boring cardigan super cute!

The grey skirt I already own in black (last seen here) and I love it!! It looks so good on, it's the perfect length and it will never be outdated because of the classic cut and color! Value for money! ;)

I was looking for a dress to wear for Norway's independence day which is May 17th and I found this one. At first I thought this was "meeh", but then I thought of Ahn from 9 to 5 chic. The Queen of Style and Accesorize.. She would totally make this dress rock (or any dress for that matter...)! I've been through her blog a million times just because it's so inspiring and I love what she can do to a simple dress like this. So I got it! I'm not quite sure what to wear with it though, but I'll look through her blog a few more times and find some ideas ;) haha

I love the color of this dress! I could probably do without the pockets (!) strategically placed at the hip area.. (did a man design this?), but with a black blazer it would be covered.

I'm trying not to shop too much clothes right now since I still have a few pounds to loose. But that can be my reward: to do some major shopping once I've reached my weight-loss goal, right?

Great basic pieces, that you 'll probably be able to wear in a million different ways!!! Love the dress too!

Funny that you mention that about Zara! We have Zara in my town, but no H&M, I guess we all want what we can't get, huh?
