One of my favorite past times is Google imaging on everything. Recently I have been looking at lots of picture of my soon ("soon" is relative) to own Chanel purse, because it doesn't seem so out of reach if I can only look at it... a lot!That's when I discovered the Chanel Flapbag ! I knew it was there all along, because we've all seen Lauren Conrad wearing hers, looking amazing! - I just didn't know they came in a size called "jumbo"! I hate small purses on myself (except clutches) because I think they make me look fat, basically - and I can't fit my survival kit in it! lol Since I'm a tall and curvy woman I need a bigger one to look proportionate to my body as well. The jumbo size is quite big, but yet not as big as a tote. And I love the fact that it has a flap that I can close, something I've been missing.
So, I've changed my mind (again) and I'm saving up for this baby instead! I even created a savings-ticker in the side bar (hahaha!) so I can keep a track on how close I'm getting to buying this purse. As you can see, the purse it's not exactly anywhere in my reach YET! My goal is the same: to have this within 2010!

The Chanel Flap Bag comes in three sizes:
Small – 9″ x 5.5″ x 2″ or in cm: 23 x 14 x 5 cm
Medium – 10″ x 6″ x 2.5″ or in cm: 25.5 x 15 x 6
Jumbo– 12″ x 8″ x 3″ or in cm: 30.5 x 20 x 8

This will be the most expensive personal thing I've purchased so I'm going to have to work very hard to get this.... But I love setting goals like that and this will help me not go crazy with all my makeup purchases! ;)
This is my favourite bag ever! Do you know how much it is? I feel too intimidated to enquire in store! I think it's worth the money anyway because it's the kind of bag that will never go out of style and it suits women of every age.
P.s. Love your new hair colour! I have very dark brown/black hair too and I'd love to experiment with the colour.

I just like to put everything I need without having a purse that looks like it going to explode...This Chanel is such a dream I know I am going to get one one day I just don't know when yet <3

I know what you mean about going into a store like that "only" to inquire the price...
The price varies depending on what country you buy it in, but in the US, the Jumbo goes for around $ 1700 EEK!

Do you like the silver chains or the gold chains with this purse the most? I think I'm leaning towards the gold..

I kinda have the opposite problem. I want a small purse, as small as possible, but still with room for the most essential things (like my planner, iPhone, and some other small items). I don't want a clutch! But no, I never find anything that I like or want.... annoying. :(

I think this is something that I should consider doing - find something like a fabulous bag/purse that I really want and save up for it - talk about, blog about and so on and so forth.
These Chanel bags are amazing! Totally timeless so totally worth the investement.

I'm saving up for the same bag! I hate small purses on me too, but I've always loved how classic/timeless the Chanel quilted chain bags are. So the larger style is perfect! I would love to find a really good vintage one, but I don't trust consignment shops in my town. So, I'm saving for a new one! Maybe out fiances could give them to us as wedding gifts ;) hehe
The first person I think of when I see that bag is strangely also Lauren Conrad. Probably because you almost ALWAYS see her carrying one of these on the Hills before. One day I hope to get one of these bags too. A girl can dream right?! ;) xx
